Dr. Octavio Guilera is currently invited investigator at Instituto de Astrofísica UC of Pontificia Universidad Católica (Santiago, Chile).

His job is based on theoretical and numerical study of the physical phenomena involved in the process of planetary formation, focus on the formation of giant planets and planetary systems. His job also involves the study of protoplanetay disks evolution, as well as the study of the interactions between planets in formation and protoplanetary disks where this process occurs.

Octavio obtained his PhD in March 2014 at Facultad de Ciencias Astronómicas y Geofísicas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina) and since June 2015 is researcher at Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas de Argentina.
